FOREWORD
The following pages endeavour to tell the story of the Sister of the Blessed Sacrament in England since 1874, Hundred of extant letters written from the beginning of this period have proved an excellent resource, as have the House Journals kept by various Superiors over the years.
The chapters on Waterside and Welling were researched and written by Sister Christina ; the chapter on Henfield by Sister M. Zita ; and Mother Victoria’s Journal of the War Years in Walpole Lodge, Brighton, (previouslytranslated by Mother M. Xavier, and published by Sister Christina), has been quoted almost in its entirety.
