On May 8, 2025, with great joy we welcomed Pope Leo XIV. He came from Peru, was born in the United States, and is an Augustinian monk. Hearing his first words and greetings was indeed a very emotional mo-ment. We must now accompany him in the intensely difficult mission that is entrusted to him. May the Holy Spirit guide him, and may Mary accompany him.
It is fitting that this issue should mark the passing of POPE FRANCIS and through his writings express our THANKS for his 12 years and 39 days of devoted service to the Church. We will continue to keep alive your messages expressed by your actions and attitudes and of course those we received through your encyclicals .
During these months, which include Lent and Easter, Peter Vigne provides us with a challenging programme inviting us to make certain practical decisions for our Christian life. Firmness, joy, commitment, mission. God bless us on our Lenten Journey.
We enter a New Year, a clean page in our book of time! … What challenges will we face and how will we respond ? Peter Vigne reminds us of the precious “gift” that is given to us : the gift of one day at a time ! A gift that will be multiplied by 365, throughout the Jubilee Year 2025. Happy New Year 2025 PEACE, good HEALTH and HOPE ! What values will guide our decisions and our actions ?...
